In our 20th year of business, DWS has a number of experienced teams of commercial roofers that can provide excellent roofing and waterproofing services throughout Eastern Ontario including Ottawa, Cornwall, Brockville, Perth, Pembroke, Trenton, and Peterborough. We are happy to provide estimates on work farther from home and have provided services from Manitoba all the way to Haiti.

Our story:

DWS Roofing and Waterproofing Services, Inc. opened its doors in February of 2000. We began with a small team and crew, and tripled in size by the end of our first year. The company has expanded each year since its inception, and is now one of the best-reputed commercial roofing companies in the Ottawa Valley.

DWS began with a mission to provide superior service to our clients and an undeniably excellent finished product. We have stayed true to this mission for two decades.

Doug Stalker, President

Doug Stalker is a veteran roofer with over 40 years’ experience in the field. He was a foreman at 19 and a supervisor at 21, quickly moving up the ranks. Doug was known for getting jobs done right, on budget, and on time. He carried these skills with him when he founded DWS. Doug now gathers the best in the industry work as part of the DWS team, and continues to lead the way at the helm of his company.

Cody Stalker, VP, Field Operations

With over ten years’ experience in the roofing field, Cody supervises all DWS teams on job sites. Circulating on a daily basis between projects locations, Cody ensures DWS teams are working safely to produce quality work while maintaining productivity. Cody works closely with clients on-site to review all details and deadlines; he also liaises with other trade contractors and consultants, ensuring all pieces of your project are working in tandem.

Carson Stalker, VP, Estimating & Project Management

Through concept to conclusion, Carson manages our clients’ projects with the utmost care and efficiency. From liaising with contractors to calculating estimates, Carson prioritizes the finest service in the industry for our clients. He brings with him new innovative concepts for tech-supported efficiency and project management and is always on the lookout for new ways to improve each client’s project experience.

Mark Gustafson, Chief Estimator & PM

Mark has been with DWS since its inception. Mark boasts over four decades of experience in the construction industry and has proven himself invaluable in the estimating office. As a project manager, Mark coordinates with consultants and architects, reviewing the scope of work and managing the details of each of his projects. Mark’s wisdom and knowledge makes him an integral part of the DWS team.

Nick Sauter, Estimator & PM

Nick joined DWS in 2018 with a decade of experience behind him. Nick is an exceptional project manager, working closely with the teams on his roofs, ensuring a seamless customer experience and the best installation around. His well-rounded experience makes him an asset to any project.

Bhupendra Patel, Estimator & PM, P. Eng

Bhupendra comes to DWS with a degree in civil engineering. He has worked in construction as an estimator and project manager in Ottawa, and as a structural engineer overseas. Our newest addition, Bhupendra brings his wealth of knowledge and his committed pass for a job well done.

Norm Dewar, Office Manager

Norm started at DWS in 2008. After 12 years of running the office he has gained the experience and knowledge required to support a high paced company like DWS. Norm enjoys working with DWS’s customers and suppliers to make sure everyone always has what they need so that DWS can continue to provide superior service to all its customers.

Ryan Rafter, Field Supervisor

Having joined DWS in 2008, Ryan has grown in the company moving from roofer to foreman and is now our field supervisor. Ryan oversees daily field activities on our work sites, and facilitates all phases of projects acting as the direct link between field workers, sub-contractors, consultants, and our project management team.
